STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The LPM Coordinator shall be employed by the State Bar of Georgia for the purpose of performing a variety of administrative and technical duties for the Director, Resource Advisor and Member Benefits Coordinator of Law Practice Management. This is a project-oriented position, in combination with specific Program-related administration. The LPM Coordinator shall report directly to the Director of the Law Practice Management Program and shall work with, and be responsive to, the Law Practice Management Advisory Committee and any other advisory body that may be established by the Board of Governors to supervise and govern the Law Practice Management Program.
DUTIES
Program/Project Management
➢ Adhere strictly to the confidentiality rule relating to the Law Practice Management Program.
➢ Coordinate logistics for department programs, webinars, and conferences (e.g., scheduling, registration, nametags, rosters, attendance reporting).
➢ Provide support to Committee chairs and the LPM Director in planning and setting up regularly scheduled meetings of the Law Practice Management Advisory Committee and the Member Benefits Committee.
➢ Support department's needs for Take Charge programming, and Midyear and Annual Meeting general booth requirements.
➢ Maintain database of LPM-specific contacts.
➢ Maintain list of legal-specific software available to Bar members, and direct members to consultants or trainers at the direction of the Director, Member Benefits Coordinator or Resource Advisor.
➢ Maintain and update Resource library resources; software products used for in-office demonstrations; information relevant to law firms on various practice management and technology topics; and non-copyrighted forms, form letters, contracts, sample documents, etc. on practice management issues.
➢ Maintain and update department standard operating procedures.
➢ Prepare program reports, invoices, check requests, and deposits to meet departmental accounting requirements.
Communications & Social Media
➢ Manage department social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) using scheduling and design tools.
➢ Respond to basic telephone queries regarding practice management and technology issues, e.g., what is the Bar's position on computerized trust accounting? Are written fee contracts required?
➢ Assemble and dispatch consultation reports and resource materials as requested by lawyers and their staff.
Administrative Support
➢ Answer queries by telephone, e-mail or fax or refer to the Director, Resource Advisor or Member Benefits Coordinator.
➢ Maintain inventory of departmental materials and place orders for supplies as needed.
➢ Pick up, route, and deliver incoming mail and oversee outgoing mail for Program.
Other Responsibilities
➢ Assist the Law Practice Management Program Director, Resource Advisor and Member Benefits Coordinator with production of educational material for attorneys in the areas of technology and practice management, such as educational brochures, seminar materials, and other department publications.
➢ Assist with the production of promotional or advertising material for the department.
➢ Assist with departmental practice management and technological projects as directed, e.g. organizing and updating information for departmental section on Bar's web page.
➢ Make all travel arrangements for department and ensure travel reimbursement forms are completed and processed timely.
➢ Perform other miscellaneous tasks as directed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education, Training and Experience
➢ Four-year college degree desired
➢ Prior work experience in private law firms, government legal departments, or Bar associations preferred
➢ Direct experience with office technology (preferably in a law firm setting) beyond simple word processing strongly desired
Tools, Equipment
➢ PC-based Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
➢ Legal practice management software

➢ Employee is subject to in-person and remote supervision and is expected to perform their job in a State Bar office unless managing or supporting a meeting or event that takes place away from a State Bar office or telecommuting in compliance with State Bar policy.
