Position Overview

The Communications & Executive Support Specialist provides direct support to the Chairman through transportation, on-site event assistance, media production, and digital communications management. This role combines executive logistical support with creative content development, social media execution, and audio/visual production. The ideal candidate is dependable, discreet, highly organized, and able to represent the Chairman and the Republican Party of Texas in a professional manner at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Media Production

  • Capture photography and video at events, meetings, and public engagements
  • Edit videos using Adobe Premiere (or equivalent software)
  • Edit, retouch, and format photographs for publication and branding use
  • Produce short-form social media videos, highlight reels, testimonials, and recap content
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging alignment

Social Media Management

  • Manage and publish content across Chairman and RPT social media channels
  • Use SM Management software to schedule posts in advance
  • Develop creative messaging and graphics aligned with communication priorities
  • Monitor engagement, comments, and performance indicators
  • Support rapid-response communications when needed

Audio / Visual & Technical Support

  • Operate sound systems, microphones, cameras, lighting, and livestream equipment at events as needed.
  • Troubleshoot AV setups at events, press conferences, and public gatherings
  • Ensure quality sound and video capture in different environments

Executive & Logistical Support

  • Be able to drive Chairman to meetings, events, and official functions (clean DL required)
  • Coordinate pickup/drop-off schedules, timing, routing, and logistics
  • Assist onsite at events and appearances as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all environments

Qualifications

  • Experience in social media management and digital communications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and basic graphic design tools
  • Strong photography and videography skills
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot audio/video equipment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Flexible schedule — evenings, weekends, and travel required
  • Creative eye for storytelling and branding
  • Reliable, punctual, and mission-focused
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with elected officials, donors, media, and grassroots leaders
  • Able to work independently and anticipate needs without constant direction
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to fast-changing environments

Work Environment

  • Frequent travel within Texas
  • Regular attendance at political events, meetings, campaign stops, and public functions
  • Work hours vary based on Chairman's schedule and event calendar
