Pediatric Occupational Therapist

About Us: Connected Kids in Rockland County has a fully equipped sensory gym. It was started by an occupational therapist with over 17 years of pediatric experience. We are devoted to providing quality service to children and their families. We are looking for passionate people who want to help make a difference in the lives of the children we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help clients improve their ability to perform daily activities
• Provide therapeutic interventions, such as exercises and activities to promote independence and improve functioning in school and at home
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Provide clients with home-based exercises and activities to help them achieve optimal progress
• Participate in trainings and continuing education courses and individual/group supervision.

Requirements:
- Valid New York state license as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to develop effective treatment plans.
