We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Representative with a deep "rolodex" of California workers' compensation attorneys to drive growth for our Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) and ancillary medical-legal services.
This is not a "cold-calling" entry-level role. This position is designed for an industry veteran, potentially from a top-tier copy service, record retrieval, or court reporting company, who already has the trust and cell phone numbers of Applicant and Defense attorneys across the state. Your primary goal is to leverage those relationships to bring in high-value cases for our QMEs, IMEs, and Expert Witness services.
What You'll Do
- Leverage Existing Relationships: Transition your current network of attorneys and law firm decision-makers to our suite of medical-legal services.
- Drive Volume: Secure new case referrals for QME evaluations, Independent Medical Exams (IMEs), and Expert Witness testimony.
- Build Ancillary Revenue: Identify opportunities to integrate additional company services (Diagnostics, Surgery Centers, etc.) into your existing legal accounts.
- High-Level Networking: Represent the company at CAAA, an Local Bar Association events to expand your footprint.
- Strategic Growth: Collaborate with our executive team to identify "gaps" in the market where our physician specialties can provide value.
Who You Are
- The Connected Professional: You have 3+ years of experience in the California Workers' Comp industry (Copy Service, Case Management, or Legal Sales).
- The Rolodex: You don't need a lead list; you already have established relationships with multiple firms (Applicant and Defense) and can "hit the ground running."
- The Closer: You are motivated by a highly commission-based structure that rewards high-volume case intake.
- The Expert: You understand the nuances of the QME process, the importance of medical-legal reporting, and what attorneys look for in a medical expert.
Compensation & Benefits
- Target Earnings: $105k – $200k+ (Base salary + aggressive uncapped commission).
- Performance Bonuses: Additional quarterly incentives for hitting ancillary service milestones.

- Growth: Be the lead architect of our business development department as we scale our physician roster.
Required Experience
- Sales to Law Firms: 3 years (Required)
- California Workers' Compensation Industry: 3 years (Required)
- Pre-existing relationship with Workers' Comp Attorneys: (Required)
