IT Systems Administrator

About the Role

As an IT Systems Administrator, you will own the health, security, and performance of our on-premises and cloud infrastructure. You'll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure mission‑critical systems are resilient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server & Virtualization Management – Install, configure, patch, and monitor Windows / Linux servers and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, or equivalent).
• Cloud Operations – Administer Microsoft 365/Azure (or AWS/GCP) services, including identity, security, and cost optimization.
• Network & Security – Maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and switch configurations; enforce security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., CIS, NIST).
• Backup & Disaster Recovery – Design and test backup, replication, and DR strategies to meet defined RPO/RTO targets.
• Automation & Scripting – Develop PowerShell/Bash scripts and leverage configuration‑management tools to automate routine tasks.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting – Use SolarWinds, Event Logs, Alerts, and performance‑monitoring tools to detect, diagnose, and resolve system issues proactively.
• User & Endpoint Support – Serve as Tier II escalation for complex workstation, mobile, and application problems.
• Documentation & Compliance – Create and maintain SOPs, diagrams, and asset inventories; assist with audits and policy enforcement.
• Project Delivery – Lead or contribute to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts on time and within budget.
• Mobile Device Management & Endpoint Security – Manage MDM platforms (e.g., Intune, Duo) and enforce security policies for mobile and BYOD devices.
• SaaS/Paas Administration – Administer core SaaS/Paas platforms (e.g., Mimecast, Ring Central), including SSO integration and license management.
• Vendor & License Management – Coordinate with vendors, track renewals, and optimize software and hardware licensing agreements.
• Security Compliance & Auditing – Conduct regular vulnerability scans, coordinate penetration testing, and remediate findings to maintain compliance.
