Line Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in a kitchen setting, particularly in fine dining establishments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the safety of all food served.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
• Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
• Proficient knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A passion for culinary arts, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the industry.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
