Maintenance Specialist provides hands-on technical support to manufacturing facilities worldwide. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and on-site support for complex industrial equipment and systems, including electrical (480V), PLC-controlled, and hydraulic systems. The position requires extensive travel to customer and contract locations to support installations, resolve equipment issues, and advise on system operation, maintenance, and reliability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical product support and service to customers at industrial and manufacturing facilities worldwide
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex industrial equipment and systems, including:
- Electrical systems up to 480V
- PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems
- Hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems
- Assist customers with the operation and maintenance of installed systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities at customer sites
- Troubleshoot PLC faults, electrical control systems, sensors, and field devices to restore system functionality
- Diagnose hydraulic system issues, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and associated components
- Identify root causes of equipment
- Support manufacturers and industrial sites during planned maintenance events, shutdowns, and emergency repairs
- Communicate technical findings clearly to customers, site leadership, and internal stakeholders
- Work independently while managing priorities across multiple customer locations
- Manage resources at contract locations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Manage and track travel schedules and travel-related budgets
- Maintain a professional demeanor while working in high-pressure or time-sensitive environments
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, LOTO requirements, and site-specific regulations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong background in industrial maintenance and reliability
- Hands-on experience with 480V electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical documentation
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain professional and composed in stressful or fast-paced situations
- Experience managing resources at customer or contract locations
- Ability to plan and manage travel logistics and budgets
- Customer-focused mindset with strong technical advisory capabilities
Physical Demands

- Ability to lift, move, and handle bulky or awkward equipment
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working around energized equipment
Pay: $50, $85,000.00 per year
