Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our kitchen management team, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality standards, and support the development of our culinary staff. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on fine dining, catering, and food service management.

Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, to maintain efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock levels for all kitchen needs.
  • Manage shift operations, including coordinating food production schedules and ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Lead catering events and special functions, ensuring seamless execution from preparation to service.
  • Train and mentor team members on culinary techniques, food handling, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management on menu development that aligns with restaurant branding and customer preferences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong background in food production and restaurant management.
  • Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Extensive culinary experience including banquet experience, catering, and dietary department familiarity.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food handling best practices.
  • Strong skills in menu planning, shift management, kitchen management, and food service operations.
  • Excellent team management abilities with a focus on training, motivation, and leadership development.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on quality service delivery.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and quality. This position is ideal for a dedicated culinary professional eager to contribute to an innovative team committed to excellence in the food industry.

Pay: $55, $70,000.00 per year
