Position Overview

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures as directed by the radiologist. The technologist must be proficient in performing quality MRI scans. Technologists must have the ability maintain a team player attitude for the department to run efficiently. The technologist will also be responsible for capturing charges, chart documentation, and other tasks as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual QA procedures as required by the ACR (American College of Radiology)
  • Provide pertinent patient information for diagnostic scans which include paperwork preparation for the coming days and verifying scan orders
  • Computer tasks that entail completing QCL's, ensuring scans are sent to all destinations (e.g., MIM, EBW, OPAL_DR)
  • Communicate with the radiologist to obtain highest quality images for patient diagnosis
  • Maintain and oversee MRI annual safety training for ACC employees, as per the ACR
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, reports and files
  • Coordinate with billing personnel to obtain accurate charges

Requirements

Required

  • Associate's degree in Radiology
  • 3+ years' experience as an MRI Technologist
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography, credentialed from the ARRT
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Venipuncture skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to provide patient-focused care

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiology
  • 1+ years' experience as a CT Technologist
  • CT Certification

Hours: Full- time. We offerrotating shift assignments with flexibility to support a healthy work-life balance and accommodate personal needs whenever possible.
