- Performs management functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluation, payroll approvals.
- Ensures compliance with all safety standards and regulatory codes.
- Ensures that the highest level of building and grounds appearance is met continually conducting inspections of all areas of the resort property (public areas and grounds) and correcting any deficiencies.
- Develops maintenance procedures and ensures implementation.
- Carries out proactive inspections of the resort, both interior and exterior, to identify and resolve issues.
- Routinely inspects and documents, on a monthly basis, inspections of all electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and other facility systems to ensure proper functioning and preventative maintenance.
- Responds to guest needs, cleaning or grounds keeping issues, maintenance requests and other maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Provides leadership and develops a high performing, service first mentality in all staff.
- Plans and oversees all repair and installation activities to ensure the highest quality of work is completed to Tin Lizzie's high standards.
- Allocate workload and supervise maintenance and janitorial staff.
- Monitor equipment inventory and hotel backstock.
- Monitor maintenance expenses and implement cost saving measures.
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Utilize company software to keep maintenance logs, R&M schedules, employee productivity, and reports on daily activities/accomplishments.
- Performs additional duties as necessary.
Job Qualitifcations
- Proven experience as maintenance manager or related leadership role
- Experience planning and executing maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, HVAC, etc.
- Knowledge of facilities tools, machines, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity in company software
- Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and service-first approach to the job.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to use company software such as Quore, Microsoft Office (MS Teams is a must), and effectively utilize internet search skills.
