The Pakalachian is an established food truck opening a new grab-and-go spot within the Commons building in Abingdon. The Paklachain blends the soulful flavors of Appalachian comfort food with the vibrant spices of Pakistani cuisine. We're passionate about food, supporting local, and building community through flavor.

Position Summary:

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic team members to join us in launching The Pakalachian at a brick and mortar location As part of our opening crew, you'll help shape the customer experience from day one. Team members will rotate between front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities, including prepping food, taking orders, packaging meals, and keeping the general vibe positive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly attitude
• Accurately take and package orders in a timely manner
• Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items per recipes and safety guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, prep areas, and dining zones
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Represent The Pakalachian brand with pride and positivity

Qualifications:

• Ability to think critically and on your feet
• Desire to work in food service. Previous food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure
• A team player who's reliable and proactive
• Willingness to learn and grow with a new concept
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
