Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Oversee the use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff on food safety standards, culinary techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet restaurant demands while maintaining labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Lead efforts in food production for various service types including casual dining, fine dining, catering, and banquet events.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting initiatives and cost control strategies to optimize profitability.
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality management by fostering a positive team environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management with strong supervising skills in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Experience with US Foods and other distributors.
- No DRUGS
- Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required.
- Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food safety practices, and food handling procedures.
- Previous experience managing staff training & development programs within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and budgeting principles; assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a customer-focused approach that enhances guest satisfaction.
- Must have ServSafe Certification or be willing to acquire one.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
