About the Role

The
Operations Intern
role is a generalist position supporting the core operating functions of the company. You will work closely with the founding team on business development, financial operations, and internal execution.

This role is intentionally broad and demanding. You will be expected to manage details accurately, operate across functions, and take ownership of work from start to finish. The scope will evolve with the needs of the business, and you will be trusted with real responsibility early.

We hire selectively. This role is designed for candidates who have demonstrated exceptional performance in prior environments and are comfortable operating in lean, high-responsibility settings.

Responsibilities

• Support founders with day-to-day operational execution across business development, finance, and internal operations
• Assist with customer and partner outreach, follow-ups, and pipeline coordination
• Prepare and maintain materials for external and internal use, including decks, briefs, and written summaries
• Support financial operations, including expense tracking, invoicing, and coordination with accounting workflows
• Maintain clean internal documentation, systems, and operational processes
• Execute tactical work that keeps the organization organized, responsive, and unblocked
• Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely, accurate completion

QualificationsRequired

• Demonstrated excellence in prior roles
  , evidenced by ownership of critical workstreams, performance meaningfully above peer benchmarks, or responsibility beyond formal scope or seniority
• Exceptional attention to detail
  , with a documented record of producing accurate, well-structured work and identifying issues before they create downstream risk
• High ambition and personal drive
  , reflected in a pattern of seeking responsibility, operating at high intensity, and maintaining demanding personal standards
• Prior experience working on or alongside highly technical deep-tech projects
  (e.g., robotics, AI/ML, infrastructure, hardware, or complex engineering systems), with the ability to operate effectively in technically dense environments
• Clear, structured written and verbal communication
  , particularly in professional, technical, or executive-facing contexts
• Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
  , including comfort building and maintaining models, trackers, and operational dashboards
• Ability to work
  in-person in downtown Palo Alto

Nice to Have

• Background in accounting and finance
  , including hands-on experience with expense tracking, budgeting, basic financial statements, reconciliation, or financial operations
• Prior experience in investment banking, management consulting, or business development at a startup
• Aptitude for creative or visual design work
  , including the ability to produce clean, professional slides, documents, or marketing assets with minimal direction
