Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. This role involves delivering freight efficiently across designated routes while adhering to safety standards and regulations. Candidates with experience in commercial driving, route driving, load & unload operations, and forklift operation are highly preferred. Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks with manual transmissions across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other tools as needed.
• Drive different types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, routes, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and operational standards are met.
• Follow all federal and state transportation regulations regarding hours of service, safety procedures, and cargo securement.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist in route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and fuel consumption.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; previous experience with tractor-trailers preferred.
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks is required.
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload activities is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment is an advantage.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the types of vehicles operated.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for freight transportation.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and safety on the road at all times. This position offers a dynamic work environment for experienced drivers committed to safety and efficiency in freight transportation.
