About the Role
As a Customer Support Associate, you'll be one of the first friendly voices our customers and field sales staff connect with. You'll use your product knowledge and problem-solving skills to answer questions, verify information, and help keep our accounting and billing systems running smoothly. From maintaining customer records to supporting order fulfillment and billing, your work ensures that every interaction and every process runs efficiently and accurately.
What You'll Do
- Review incoming documents from customers, district sales managers, and seed reps to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and process documents for entry into the accounting system
- Update company, customer, and seed rep data files to support accurate recordkeeping
- Respond to incoming calls from customers and sales team members, providing helpful and timely support
- Answer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and assist in promoting company products and services
- Enter and verify daily data from source documents with a high degree of accuracy
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal intranet sites
- Prepare, review, and help reconcile customer billings
- Assist with electronic filing, mailings, and general accounting or data-entry projects as needed
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and business needs
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or
- High school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least five (5) years of customer service or billing experience
Experience & Skills:
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, team members, supervisors, business partners, and the public
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and general business practices
- Ability to identify and implement improvements to systems, workflows, and processes
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General understanding of information technology systems and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software
- Ability to manage shifting priorities, handle unexpected demands, and adapt to changing workloads
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality control
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when handling sensitive information
