Architectural & Construction Project Manager (Future Leadership Track)
DiCicco Development, Inc. — Pittsburgh, PA
About Us
DiCicco Development, Inc. is a premier, fully integrated commercial real estate development and ownership firm specializing in Class A office buildings in Pittsburgh. We own and operate a portfolio of high-quality properties and are known for innovative design, rigorous construction standards, and exceptional tenant experiences. With a lean, highly skilled internal team, we make decisions quickly and value impact, accountability, and craftsmanship.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Architectural & Construction Project Manager to work directly with our in-house Registered Architect / Director of Architecture & Construction. This role is unique in the industry — combining architectural planning with hands-on construction management and owner-side decision-making.
This position is intentionally designed as a future leadership opportunity, with a clear pathway for growth and succession into a senior role over time.
Candidates may be strongest in either:
- architectural design with some construction exposure, or
- construction project management with some drafting / design capabilities
We value capability, judgment, and leadership potential above formal credentials alone.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support design and execution of commercial office interior projects and capital improvements
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery
- Oversee construction activities, site personnel, contractors, and subcontractors
- Prepare, revise, and evaluate architectural drawings and as-built documentation
- Serve as an active liaison among tenants, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with facilities management to maintain and enhance existing Class A buildings
- Conduct field verification, code compliance review, and documentation accuracy
- Utilize AutoCAD and project management tools to drive planning and execution
- Solve problems proactively, balancing design intent, cost efficiency, and constructability
- Gain increasing responsibility toward eventual leadership of architecture & construction functions
Who You Are
- Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in commercial architecture or construction management
- Registered Architect designation is a plus, but not required
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project experience preferred
- Working familiarity with project admin platforms (Procore, Newforma, or similar) is a plus
- Strong communicator with the ability to lead contractors and coordinate stakeholders
- Exceptional problem-solver with a practical, execution-oriented mindset
- Organized, accountable, and comfortable owning end-to-end project execution
- Eager to grow into a leadership role and help shape the strategic future of our portfolio
Why This Role Is Rare and Valuable
Unlike working for an architecture firm or construction contractor —
at DiCicco Development you are the owner's representative, not a vendor.
This means:
- faster decision cycles
- more authority over outcomes
- direct influence on design, budget, and execution
- tangible impact on buildings that remain in our long-term care
- career advancement within a stable ownership structure
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience
- Comprehensive health, vision, and dental benefits
- 401(k) with employer contributions
- Paid vacation and holidays
- Professional development and continuing education support
- Close-knit team with direct access to decision-makers
- A career path toward senior leadership within the organization

If you're driven, detail-oriented, collaborative, and excited to influence the future of Pittsburgh's Class A office landscapes — we'd love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a brief cover note or portfolio samples reflecting applicable experience.
