Armed Security Officer

We are seeking a reliable, vigilant Armed Security Guard to protect and secure our scrap yard/metal recycling facility. The ideal candidate is alert, responsible, and able to monitor a large outdoor area while maintaining a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Starting Pay: $22 hourly

Schedule:

• Graveyard Shift, Part-time
• Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30pm-6am

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and secure yard entrances, exits, and perimeter areas
• Control access for employees, contractors, and customers
• Conduct foot patrols of the property
• Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized individuals
• Prevent theft, trespassing, and vandalism
• Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports
• Ensure compliance with safety and site procedures
  Operate surveillance cameras and basic security equipment (if applicable)

Qualifications:

• Prior security experience preferred (especially in industrial, scrap yard, or metal facility environments)
• Valid security license/guard card
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
