Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with endodontic procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding and documentation.
• Manage appointment scheduling using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Perform administrative tasks as required, including inventory management of dental supplies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical coding and HIPAA regulations is advantageous.
• Proficiency in taking X-rays and using 3D scanning technology is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications are preferred.
