CDL Driver Local or Over The Road

Job Overview
We are seeking experienced CDL Drivers for local and over-the-road routes to operate tractor-trailers and deliver freight efficiently and safely. This role requires a professional driver with a strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations, route management, and vehicle operation. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL license, a clean driving record, and experience handling various types of freight. Whether working locally or on long-haul routes, drivers will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.

Duties

• Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all safety and traffic laws
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
• Transport goods via , flatbeds, Stepdecks, or Van efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents

Qualifications

• Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements for the type of vehicle operated
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route management
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks
• Ability to operate specialized equipment like forklifts or dump trucks is a plus
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and freight handling
• Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past three years
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently and safely using appropriate tools and equipment
• Good physical condition to handle long hours on the road and occasional heavy lifting
• Flexibility to work both local routes and over-the-road assignments depending on operational needs

Pay: $100, $150,000.00 per year
