Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant/Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of office procedures, accounting principles and practices, and will be proficient in various accounting software. This role involves managing clients books, data entry of transactions, and assisting with tax preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, scan documents, data entry of tax documents.
  • Data entry of clients statements, reconciliaton of accounts monthly.
  • Keep financial records accurate using general ledger accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Review accounts, analyze activity, and make sure everything is reconciled on time.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar tools for daily operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to financial concepts, double-entry bookkeeping principles, and technical accounting standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in office procedures and customer service
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of corporate accounting, small business accounting and personal finances is a plus.
