Box Truck Driver

In this energetic role, you'll operate box trucks to transport cargo across designated routes. This position will be graveyard shift(10pm-7am) 6 days a week moving Amazon freight to surrounding post offices 1-5 stops per night.

Duties

• Safely operate commercial trucks, including box trucks on assigned routes to deliver goods promptly and accurately.
• Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and securement of items.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels before each shift.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns courteously.
• Assist with warehouse activities when needed, including moving inventory and organizing shipments for efficient dispatch.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with company policies.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations diligently to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate load & unload activities and ensure smooth operations at each stop.
• Respond promptly to unexpected issues or delays by communicating effectively with dispatch and management.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial vehicles preferred.
• Proven delivery driver experience with a strong focus on route driving and customer service excellence.
• Ability to operate box trucks with liftgate; familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and heavy lifting is a plus.
• Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling cargo efficiently during load & unload procedures.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks such as moving inventory, lifting heavy items, and working in various warehouse environments.
• Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving goods, and driving commercial vehicles.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions for route planning and delivery procedures.
• Be able to work night shifts 6 days a week 10pm-7am.
