We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy distribution center in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for accurately retrieving specified items from warehouse stock and preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all warehouse protocols.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of required PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with inventory cycle counting and stock replenishment.
- Meet or exceed established productivity targets for order picking.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order processing and timely dispatch.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency in picking and order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Must be physically capable of performing tasks including frequent lifting of up to 45 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear designated PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
