Are you ready to be a key player in our Provo, Utah logistics operations? We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to manage the flow of goods within our facility. This role is essential for ensuring that materials are moved, sorted, and staged efficiently and safely, supporting all aspects of our warehouse functions. You will operate various types of equipment to transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a well-established logistics network and develop your skills in material handling and warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Receive, identify, and stage materials according to established procedures.
- Accurately track and record the movement of materials within the warehouse using appropriate systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Ensure that all materials are stored correctly and securely.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions and hazards.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and equipment manuals.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is beneficial.
