We are actively recruiting for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our distribution center in Kansas City, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and support various warehouse functions. Your precision and adherence to safety standards are vital for our logistics and operational success. You will be working within a team environment, contributing to the smooth flow of goods and ensuring inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper wearing of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency through effective material handling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with relevant certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in a logistics or distribution environment is preferred.
