In this key role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, documenting receipt of goods, and preparing items for put-away. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient receiving area. You will be an essential part of our supply chain, contributing to the smooth flow of products into our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received products for proper identification and tracking.
- Stage received goods for put-away by the warehouse team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries and discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS are a plus.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
