We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our warehouse. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, as well as assisting with inventory management and order fulfillment. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are essential. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, possess excellent time management skills, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your primary goal will be to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods, contributing to overall warehouse productivity and customer satisfaction. We expect all team members to adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear the required PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts.
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and onto shelves or pallets.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and other materials throughout the warehouse.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in warehouse safety training sessions.
- Support team members in other warehouse duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts.
- Valid forklift certification (preferred).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control principles.
