We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods throughout our distribution center. You will work closely with inventory management and fulfillment teams to maintain accurate stock levels and fulfill orders promptly. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Your primary responsibilities will include operating a reach truck to pick and put away inventory, conducting pre-operational checks on equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adherence to all safety regulations and company policies is paramount. This position requires significant attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move pallets and other materials.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on reach truck equipment.
- Pick and put away inventory accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors and warehouse management.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Contribute to team goals and overall warehouse productivity.
- Must be comfortable with manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid certification for reach truck operation.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Experience in Logistics is highly preferred.
