Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company safety standards.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new warehouse equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and emergency repair needs.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE during maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Keep the maintenance shop organized and stocked with necessary parts and tools.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse operations and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant technical field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, ideally in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery.
- Experience with forklifts and other material handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds and working in various positions.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics operations and the importance of equipment uptime.
