Join our growing logistics team in Boise, Idaho, as a Material Handler! We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. This role is vital for maintaining efficient operations, ensuring that goods are stored correctly, moved safely, and readily available for order fulfillment. You will play a key part in our supply chain by handling materials with care and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes, verifying quantities and quality of goods.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe work environment, following all warehouse safety guidelines.
- Utilize and wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and gloves, during material handling tasks.
- Follow established procedures for safe lifting and material transport.
- Support inventory management efforts through accurate handling and placement of goods.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and contribute to a proactive safety culture.
- Be ready for the physical aspects of the role, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
- Understand the importance of precision in handling goods to prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Continuously look for ways to improve material flow and efficiency within the logistics chain.
