We are hiring Order Pickers for our facility in Durham, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, you will be essential to our logistics operations, responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items to fulfill customer orders. You'll use RF scanning technology to navigate the warehouse, locate products, and ensure the right items are picked in the correct quantities. This role demands a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment. Safety is a core value, and all team members are expected to adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE. This is a physically active role requiring you to be on your feet for extended periods and involves frequent lifting. We provide thorough training to ensure your success. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Verify item numbers and quantities before confirming picks.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Meet or exceed daily picking targets.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Report any damaged items or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and PPE is required.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of logistics concepts is a plus.
