Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our sophisticated logistics operations in Columbus, Ohio. This role is paramount in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory management systems. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting audits, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve complex inventory discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
  • Manage and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with operations and receiving teams to ensure accurate inventory flow.
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend adjustments to prevent stockouts or overstock.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with tasks requiring occasional lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
  • Champion best practices in logistics and inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or management, preferably in a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting.
  • Commitment to safety and proper handling procedures, including PPE.
