We are seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Orlando, Florida. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and retrieving items for order fulfillment. Your expertise with forklifts is critical to our operations and contributes significantly to our logistics efficiency. If you possess strong operational skills and a commitment to safety, we want you on our team. This role requires precision, alertness, and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and retrieve products from shelves and racking systems.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and instructions.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Physical ability to perform necessary tasks, including lifting.
- Must wear appropriate PPE.
- Reliable and punctual.
