We are hiring a Receiving Clerk to join our fast-paced logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of all deliveries. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, inspecting incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and properly logging received items into our inventory system. A strong commitment to safety is essential; you will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all warehouse safety procedures. This role involves physical activity, including regular lifting and the operation of pallet jacks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses good communication skills. You should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers.
- Inspect shipments for damage and accuracy against paperwork.
- Verify quantities received against purchase orders.
- Accurately record received goods in the inventory management system.
- Label and stage incoming products for put-away.
- Operate pallet jacks and other receiving equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Support the logistics flow of goods into the warehouse.
- Perform tasks that may include moderate lifting.
