We are seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders from warehouse shelves and packing them securely for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency are critical to ensuring our customers receive the correct items in perfect condition. This fast-paced position requires physical stamina, speed, and a commitment to accuracy. You will work with scanning equipment and our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to fulfill orders. Teamwork and effective communication are essential as you collaborate with colleagues to meet daily shipping targets. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Your contributions are vital to the smooth operation of our distribution center and the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Use RF scanners and WMS to manage inventory and track order fulfillment.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Label packages accurately for shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy goals.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Perform tasks involving lifting and moving packages of various weights.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and WMS is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
