We are actively recruiting a skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse operations in Detroit, Michigan. This role is critical for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our facility, playing a key part in our overall Logistics and production workflow. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, and tracking various types of materials and products throughout the warehouse. Your duties may include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, as well as performing manual tasks like loading and unloading shipments. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential to ensure inventory is managed correctly and available when needed. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment is a top priority, and adherence to all company Safety policies is required. You will be expected to utilize all necessary PPE and follow best practices for safe material handling. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to handle the Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Experience with different types of forklifts and a valid certification are highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize materials according to established procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly documenting movements.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Wear required PPE , including steel-toed boots and high-visibility vests.
- Assist with general warehouse organization and housekeeping.
- Perform manual Lifting and moving of materials as required.
