Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders or shipping manifests.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other appropriate equipment.
- Stock and organize materials in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Prepare materials for internal use or shipment by picking, staging, and labeling orders.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards.
- Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory or material handling processes.
- Must be able to handle lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including consistent lifting and movement.
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of PPE requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
