We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products on time and in perfect condition. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanning equipment and following precise picking instructions. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets or electronic scans.
- Verify product identification and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse housekeeping standards.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately to a supervisor.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Contribute to team goals and overall warehouse efficiency.
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order picking lists and labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Experience in logistics environments is beneficial.
