Our Durham, North Carolina location seeks a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory levels are precise, stock is managed efficiently, and discrepancies are minimized. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating variances, and implementing procedures to improve inventory accuracy. This position requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. Familiarity with ERP software is highly beneficial. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, be proficient with data entry, and understand the importance of Safety and proper material handling. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Report on inventory accuracy and status to management.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS and ERP software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
