We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position is integral to our logistics process, ensuring all incoming goods are accurately received, documented, and prepared for distribution. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining an efficient and safe receiving area. Your accuracy will directly impact inventory management and overall operational flow.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming freight.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Record received goods into the inventory management system accurately.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Tag and label inventory appropriately for storage or further processing.
- Stage received materials for efficient put-away.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Support inventory accuracy and contribute to the efficient logistics of the warehouse.
Requirements:
Candidates must be able to perform physical duties, including Lifting up to 40 pounds, and stand for extended periods. Experience with receiving procedures and basic computer proficiency is preferred. A strong commitment to Safety and attention to detail are crucial. You must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Good communication skills are necessary for reporting issues and coordinating with other departments.
