Join our dynamic team in Boston, Massachusetts as a Picker/Packer. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves based on order forms and then carefully packing them into appropriate shipping containers. Attention to detail is critical to ensure order accuracy and prevent costly errors. The position requires physical dexterity, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety. Proper use of PPE is mandatory. This role involves frequent lifting of boxes and other items, so a good level of physical fitness is necessary. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order slips.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping boxes.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the order fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform frequent lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
