We are hiring an Order Picker to join our dedicated team in Columbus, Ohio. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items for customer orders. Your primary duty will involve using a pick list or scanning device to locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves. Careful attention to detail is essential to ensure that the correct items and quantities are picked, minimizing errors and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina, as it involves a significant amount of walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. We strictly enforce the use of PPE to ensure a safe working environment, and all team members must comply with these regulations. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are processed promptly and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using a pick list or scanner.
- Verify picked items against order specifications.
- Stage picked orders for packing or shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Perform tasks involving frequent lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including walking, bending, and lifting.
- Awareness of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player mentality.
