Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal stock levels. You will also be responsible for managing inventory data within our Warehouse Management System (WMS), generating reports on inventory levels, and identifying areas for process improvement. A strong understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations is essential. You will work closely with other departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless material flow. This position requires a keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy. We emphasize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This role involves some lifting and physical activity, so a good level of fitness is beneficial. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory challenges.
