We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to support our growing logistics operations in Omaha, Nebraska. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for assisting with the tracking, recording, and auditing of all inventory within the warehouse. Your duties will include performing cycle counts, verifying stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records in our system. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting the overall supply chain. You will work closely with the Inventory Control Specialist and other warehouse personnel to ensure data integrity. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success. This position requires a commitment to accuracy and a dedication to following all established procedures. Adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. While primarily focused on record-keeping, there may be some requirements for light physical activity, including occasional lifting . Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Verify the accuracy of inventory records against physical stock.
- Investigate and document inventory discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining organized stock locations.
- Enter inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize designated PPE appropriately.
- Support the Inventory Control Specialist with various inventory-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory control principles and WMS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- Understanding of logistics processes is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, including occasional lifting .
