Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using scanning technology.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided for qualified candidates).
- Conduct daily checks of equipment and work areas to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to a clean and orderly work environment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall logistics function.
- Understand and execute tasks related to material handling and order fulfillment, which may involve significant lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Willingness to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical exertion, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional overtime.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
