Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store materials accurately.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered equipment safely to move materials.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse as directed.
- Stage materials for shipping, ensuring correct quantities and orders.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Conduct inventory counts and update records as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Utilize scanning equipment for tracking materials in the warehouse management system.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist in various aspects of warehouse logistics as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and in various temperature conditions.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Dedicated to following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
