We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counts, stocktaking, discrepancy investigation, and reporting. Your expertise will ensure that our stock levels are precise, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations, and ultimately contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics network. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to best practices in warehouse management. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to resolve inventory issues promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical counts.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Generate regular inventory reports for management review.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Be prepared for tasks involving Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring regular Lifting.
- Commitment to Safety in all warehouse operations.
