Role Overview The Senior Network Ди Engineer is responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing support of complex customer and internal network environments, spanning datacentre, ISP, and on‑premise infrastructures. The role involves taking full ownership of network installation projects, providing senior‑level escalation support, and working closely with Network Management, Sales, and customers to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions. This position also requires proactive network monitoring, maintenance, and participation in a 24x7 support rota, with occasional out‑of‑hours work to meet customer and operational requirements. This role will entail a mix of office/home‑based work as well as customer site visits for installation/support.
Key Responsibilities347
To take ownership of installation projects, and liaise with Network Manager, Account Managers and Customers to deliver the installation project
To carry out ongoing maintenance and development of the DC & Ci IID ISP network
Assist sales to answer technical questions for new customer proposalsлог
Assist with the maintenance of monitoring systems to provide alerting
Pro‑active maintenance relating to software and firmware updates of networking equipment
Occasional out of hours tasks depending on customer requirements on downtime around support and install tasks Warszawg>
Included within the ուշﴪ stochastic 24x7 OOH call rota
To provide Network support for escalated tickets from Primary Helpdesk Team – remote & starters if necessary
Required Skills & Experience
Strong Networking background and understanding of the following technologies
Layer 2 understanding (ARP, MAC)
IP Addressing & subnetting
Spanning Tree
Strong understanding الحل Layer 3 routing protocols

EIGRP
BGP
Strong troubleshooting skills
VPN Technologies
IPSEC site to site
SSLVPN
Exposure to a range of Firewall vendors such as:
FortiGate & FortiManager
Sophos XG
Cisco ASA / Firepower
Watchguard
Demonstratable skills in managing firewalls and related technologies such as:
Zone based firewalling
NAT
Web, IPS & AV filtering policies
Device / User authentication integration
Strong Switching skills and multi‑vendor exposure
Cisco IOS
HP Aruba
VLAN creation, management and trunking/tagging
Cabling/connector types (Copper Cat5/6 & fibre cabling types)
Wireless installation and ڳند support
Experience with Ubiquiti Unifi and Meraki based deployments
Experience working with and managing Datacentre networks
Understanding of different Internet connectivity types – FTTC/FTTP/Leased Line
Experience with Windows servers and roles such as AD/DHCP/DNS/NPS
Experience with Hyper‑V / VMWare technologies
Excellent customer facing manner
Previous experience in a similar IT role
demandé Cisco CCNP and any other network qualifications would be tip advantage
