We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to assist in the overall management of the nursing home. You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the home, high-quality care delivery, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and skilled leader to make a real difference in residents’ lives. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the Home Manager with the day-to-day management of the nursing home * Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and care staff * Ensure care delivery meets CQC standards and other regulatory requirements * Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance management * Monitor care plans, risk assessments, and resident records for compliance and quality * Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external agencies * Manage rotas, staffing levels, and resource allocation efficiently * Promote a culture of continuous improvement and person-centered care Essential Requirements: * Valid NMC PIN or equivalent nursing registration/certification * Proven experience as a Deputy Manager in a nursing home or care setting * Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills * Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance in social care (CQC standards) * Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues effectively * Commitment to high-quality resident care and staff development Desirable Skills: * Experience with budgeting and resource management * Knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding, and clinical governance * Strong IT skills for managing records and reporting
