*Role Overview*
Join us in innovating systems delivery at City of Wolverhampton College As part of our dynamic team, you’ll lead the planning and execution of complex system releases, driving continuous deployment through automation tools and techniques. You’ll design and refine deployment processes, scripts, and procedures to ensure every release is smooth, efficient, and reliable.
Working alongside curriculum staff you will be at the heart of delivering reliable, secure, and innovative solutions that power our organisation focusing on leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, PowerShell, C#, and SQL Server to build, integrate, and optimise systems across the organisation. This is a role for someone who loves solving complex challenges, thrives on collaboration, and wants to make a tangible impact on how technology transforms business and positively impacts teaching and learning within the College.
*Key Responsibilities*
As a Senior Systems Developer at City of Wolverhampton College you will be responsible for:
· Deployment Management: Manage end-to-end release cycles, optimise workflows, and leverage automation across multiple platforms to deliver high-quality services to the College and its external partners.
· Collaborate and Innovate: Ownership of product lifecycles, turning ideas into solutions to meet customer needs and delivering measurable results against set targets. You must be able to prioritise requirements effectively whilst also selecting the right technical approach for each individual project. Responsible for product design trials, maintenance of product backlogs, application of actionable improvements and production of successful launches by evaluating performance data, taking into consideration insights from market trends, stakeholder input and user feedback.
· Drive Continuous Improvement: Plan and manage deployment using automation tools and techniques. Monitor deployments and identify optimisation opportunities to improve performance, efficiency and reliability. Ensure the availability, performance and security of deployed applications. Assess, review, create, document, and implement changes as required.
· Design with Impact: Create systems using modern techniques and design patterns. Explore possible alternatives, prototype solutions, and produce detailed specifications that bring ideas to life.
*Other Duties and Responsibilities*

To carry out any other duties as directed by your Line Manager.
