We are looking for a diligent Picker/Packer to join our state-of-the-art distribution facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position is critical to our logistics operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for selecting items from inventory, inspecting them, and preparing them for shipment, ensuring that every order meets our high standards of quality and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order fulfillment sheets or scanner data.
- Inspect picked products for defects or damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe transit.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure all order information is correct.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to promote efficiency and prevent accidents.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
- Contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations through consistent performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting items up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependability and punctuality are crucial.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines rigorously.
- Availability to work shifts, including occasional overtime as required by business needs.
